International School Wiesbaden
The approach to learning is inquiry-based, seeking to nurture and develop the students. Homeroom teachers teach all core subjects. Specialist teachers teach art, German, physical education and music. It offers a first language program during the school day in Dutch and Swedish. English as a second language instruction, learning support, health care and counseling services are also available. A new, purpose-built facility includes special music and art rooms, library, an on-line computer lab and a large, well-equipped gymnasium. Situated in open countryside, there are good opportunities for outside play and sporting activities. The school is also able to offer a wide range of after-school activities and has an active Parent Teacher Group. School transportation, as at the main campus in Frankfurt, serves most surrounding areas. There is an installment arrangement for payment of the capital assessment fee: one x €2,050, and two x €1,530. The school is accredited by ECIS and NEASC and has a student-teacher ratio of 10:1.
