Erasmus serves students of the greater Berlin and Potsdam area, offering a K-12 curriculum. Students are accepted at any time in the Early Years Program, Primary School (grades 1-6), and Secondary School (grades 7-12). Erasmus International School's Early Years, Primary School, and Secondary School are approved by the state of Brandenburg. English is the language of instruction. An ESL program which aims to integrate students into the mainstream curriculum as soon as possible is available to all students with little or no English language experience. English and German mother tongue instruction are required courses for native English and German speakers respectively. ICT (Information and Communication Technology) is offered to students beginning in Grade 1 and is integrated into subject instruction beginning in grade 5. In grade 7 onwards, the curriculum is divided into three main areas: mathematics and the natural sciences; the social sciences; and visual and performing arts. In grades 9 to 12, Erasmus International School in Germany offers a High School Diploma/AP program. Students in grade 11 and 12 can choose among six AP courses offered in the fields of mathematics, natural science, social science, and languages.
